Expo 2020 was a World Expo hosted by Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its main theme was “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future” and its subthemes Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity constitute the three pillars of the progress of societies to which three districts and numerous pavilions within the exhibition site were dedicated. The theme of opportunity also became the core of Connecting Table and on January 26, 2020, the official presentation of the project and its main commercial partners was held in the city of Milan, which hosted the last Expo in 2015. Only a few months later, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there were important changes worldwide which led to several delays and digitized relationships, however we continued to work to support the companies that would be present in Dubai in the creation of their local networks and in future planning despite the contingent challenges. Expo 2020 began on 1st October, 2021 and the work of a year of waiting has finally paid off. This Expo allowed us to carry out innovative projects, help new companies to create their local connections, organize events and conferences to promote new markets and opportunities, and above all to relaunch the social sphere which had unexpectedly disappeared in the last year.
