2012 to 2020: The Initial Stages

The project was started by Denise Micaela Spinelli in 2012 with the publication of her first book. After graduating with honors in 2013, a period of research in Italy and a period of discussion on the practical aspects of the model at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, followed several trips around the world with the aim of creating a international study and work team. This entire journey became Connecting Table Company, founded in 2020 and based in the United Arab Emirates.

Expo 2020: We Rise

Expo 2020, hosted by Dubai from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the theme “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future,” it focused on Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunity. These themes shaped districts and pavilions at the event. Despite delays, the Expo helped companies create local networks and plan future collaborations. It fostered innovative projects, conferences, and market growth, while revitalizing social interactions disrupted by the pandemic. Originally scheduled for 2020, the event's year-long wait proved worthwhile, driving progress and connection on a global scale.
